A Dying Habit

I have succumbed to your mystical ways
You addictive and splendid monster
Floating upon your odorous blaze
This charm held within my fingers

What the rainbow missed

1. foretelling of a thunderstorm

Will the downpours come
Will the skins and cymbals be struck
Is the anticipation and rumbling inside worthwhile

Family adventure

The throbbing ache
Of the next generation within
Entombed, embalmed to keep it from harm
Until into this world it is delivered

The greatest show no on earth

The clapping fades and darkness surrounds
Where moments before all was alive and visible
With a little apprehension in our pounding hearts
We stand in awe of the greatest show not on earth

Do you want to carve a nose
A smile and eye holes
Into me

Put me on the sill to see
With candles, a string handle

Moonstruck

Moonstruck, looking up to the sky, staring at the stars
I am moonstruck contemplating, speculating how far - could this
Vast unearthly unknown reach
Of which we are barely a fingertip
