One of my favourite songs I’ve ever written. I love the way the picking guitar & vocals bounce off one another. A very basic song,

but it just really works for me. It is a I love playing live as it suits the pure acoustic format, which is why in the studio I did it exactly like that – no overdubs, no counter melodies, just plain & simple.

I wanted the song to be in the room with the listener, as if it was being sung right there before you & I feel the essence of that has been captured in the recording.

The lyrics look at the bonds we build over time. How when we have a history together we can overcome hurdles & arguments that would part our companies forever had we not got those foundations. Friends, family, loved ones can often surmount any rifts due to the strength that time & shared experiences give their relationships.
